Reading Classic Literature helps children explore and analyse some of life's greatest questions and assists them in gaining the skills required for a deeper thought process to life. Amplify your child's creativity and help them discover their hero with the wonderful list of books mentioned here.

This book reading list is an adaptation of the list provided by Calvary Classical School in Hampton, Virginia and by TGC, who have kindly granted me permission to produce this adaptation.

The books are divided into three levels. Books with a “+” denote that any title in that series would be acceptable.

I’ve provided the link to the book on Amazon. You can also, of course, look for the books at libraries and used bookstores.

A couple of notes on the nomenclature below: “+” indicates that any title in that series would be acceptable.

Some titles also contain a label:

L – Language

V – Violence

C – Coarse actions

M – Mature theme
